Even though Ivana participated in the preparation of the book for publication and had a say in arranging the texts and illustrations, The Gingerbread Heart (Srce od licitara) was published posthumously in 1938. The book includes reprints of poems and tales from School and Holidays (1905), as well as several children's poems and stories previously published in magazines.
